Hailing from Tuscalossa, Alabama he played high school basketball at Paul “Bear” Bryant High School where his team won the Alabama state championship. In college playing under the all-time winningest basketball coach in college basketball history, Gene Bess, gave Shon Peck-Love the opportunity to excel on the court. Peck-Love was the MVP of the 1992 NJCAA National Champion Three Rivers Community College Raiders. Also, named NJCAA National Player of the Year he averaged 19.6 points per game and 10.6 rebounds. He collected 1322 points in his two seasons in Poplar Bluff.

Currently, Peck-Love is back at his alma mater, Bryant High School, serving as the boy’s basketball coach and athletic director in Tuscalossa. He was named the Alabama Class 6A coach of the year in 2017.
